Vancouver Ecovillage is a deeply eco-conscious online "intentional" community dedicated to making a better future for us all. We rethink our habit patterns about how we live on this earth, of garbage, food, power, sewage and housing, at best to come into balance, for ethical and survival reasons. We encourage the trade of goods and services whenever possible in an attempt to reduce the necessity for a monetary system. We build our community one person at a time by taking the time to know each one. Although everyone is invited to participate, we depend heavily on members who are socially and environmentally responsible and we help others reach that same level of consciousness. We help home businesses get off the ground and give them the vital support they need. In fact, this resonates with our above slogan: “Vancouver Ecovillage would like to help YOU put food on YOUR table”. We have no employees but partners who work to build our community and create as many low-cost services as possible. Partners are paid on commissions which are always generous, fair and no costing is ever hidden. However, several of our partners are deeply committed and contribute their time freely to help us grow.
