Give the Gift of Kindness

Save Our Huskies is dedicated to saving the lives of Siberian Huskies and other breeds in 8 British Columbia shelters non supported by the BC SPCA. These dogs may be slated for euthanasia due to shelter overcrowding or due to prohibitive costs for medical care. The shelter costs to get any of the dogs ready for adoption include shelter fees, transportation, high quality food, foster care needs, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, micro chipping with paid lifetime registration, pain medications, antibiotics, puppy formula, and anything the dogs need. They are of course vet checked to clear for adoption.

Our shelters have taken in many special needs dogs, including dogs with curable illnesses such as Parvo and Demodex, dogs needing surgery for torn ACLs, Entropion, broken limbs, dogs hit by vehicles, blind dogs and many others with special medical needs. They obtain required veterinary care and rehabilitation until they are ready for their forever homes. These shelters are self-funded rescues and adopt each dog below cost. Your donation allows us to continue our rescue work and help save the lives of animals in need.

Save Our Huskies is truly a labor of love and we cannot accomplish what we do without your help! Your donations are tax deductible.

If you think we're doing good work, please make a donation of at least $3. As you know, $3 won't buy even a leash for one of our animals, but your contribution will go towards a pool for buying food and getting the medical care they need. When our shelters can't make ends meet for all the animals, some are given to the BCSPCA where if no one adopts them, they are put down. Please help us avoid that by supporting us in whatever way you can. If you'd like to donate food or other items please see our Wish List on the previous page or talk to us for more information.
